After an extended fall, where I played golf as late as December 4, winter has descended on southeast Michigan. We had several inches of snow this past two days. Temperatures as I write are headed to the single digits.
I will finally take my clubs out of the trunk tomorrow, as there does not appear to be any relief in the long-range forecast for the next ten days. With the Christmas season upon us, I can use the extra space for shopping and such. I am hopeful, however, that we will have one of our usual January warm stretches and I can extend my streak of months played in Michigan to thirty six. I don’t need much … just a couple days to melt the snow cover, and a day with temperatures in the 40s. That will be more than enough to get me (and a great many similarly mentally-ill fanatics back on the course.
In the meantime, I think that I will take a trip to the new golf simulator/bar in Saline, Michigan: Golf X.
