The First Major Of The Year

The first major of the year?

No, not the Masters. The Dinah Shore, currently known as the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

It’s the LPGA’s first major of the year. Squeezed as it is between the Players and the Masters, it’s not going to get much blogger press, so I wrote a preview and history of the tournament last week here.

Now, Alan Shipnuck of Sports Illustrated has written a good piece answering “10 Questions Heading Into This Week’s Other Major.”

Will Annika Win The Grand Slam? Will Michelle Wie Pick Up Her First Win? Is Natalie Gulbis For Real? Is Grace Park Done At 27? What’s Up With Paula Creamer? Has Se Ri Pak Come Out Of Retirement? Will Ai Miyazato start living up to the hype? Is Juli Inkster back? If I’m an LPGA fan, should I cancel my subscription to GolfWorld? Can the Dinah be considered a major without Erica Blasberg in the field?

Its a good piece.
