The Luckiest Bounce and Hole In One In The History of Ever

Competing in the Pro-Am at the Oates Victorian Open in Australia, Richard Green scored the most unlikely of albatrosses.

I had one that was somewhat similar. In what was my fourth round ever played, I chunked a shot on a par three. The ball went almost straight up into the air, then came down on a sprinkler head about midway between tee box and green. It bounced up once again—very high—and came straight down into the cup.

I was alone that morning—or at least I thought I was. When I got to the clubhouse, the owner congratulated me. I was astonished, but it turned out that a groundskeeper had seen the shot and radioed it in.
