This also goes to something I’ve observed about Tiger in the last couple of years. It’s not been his swing. It’s been his putting. He can revamp the swing all he wants, but he’s still not sinking all those miracle putts that he used to.
I had some double bogeys today, but none were a 3 putt from 5 feet!
I also don’t think that these putts were as short, (especially the second) as the announcers were saying. It sure looked to me like that second putt was at least Tiger’s height if not more. It was a little more than 3 1/2 steps for Tiger, so I am thinking that’s right at about 7 feet or so.
Unfortunately, I don’t find it unusual, a couple of times a side. Usually mental, and it looks like his was, also.
Hard to believe the world number one could 3 putt from such close range.
Just shows it can happen to anyone!
