Fox Sports will broadcast the US Open this year, kicking off a twelve year deal with the USGA. It will be interesting to see what they do with it. Here’s is the television schedule:

Preview: 12:30 – 1 pm on Fox Sports 1
Wednesday, June 17
Preview: 9 – 10 am on Fox Sports 1
Thursday, June 18
Live Coverage: 9 am – 5 pm on Fox Sports 1
Live Coverage: 5 pm – 8 pm on Fox
Friday, June 19
Live Coverage: 9 am – 5 pm on Fox Sports 1
Live Coverage: 5 pm – 8 pm on Fox
Saturday, June 20
Live Coverage: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Fox
Live Coverage: 4 pm – 7:30 pm on Fox Deportes
Sunday, June 21
Live Coverage: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Fox
Live Coverage: 4 pm – 7:30 pm on Fox Deportes
Monday, June 22 – if necessary for playoff
Live Playoff Coverage: noon to conclusion on Fox Sports 1 & Fox
I am pleased with the number of hours for coverage. Now it just remains to be seen how the broadcast team does.
