USGA Championships In California


The USGA has staged 83 championships in California, including thirteen US Opens, ten US Amateurs, and three US Women’s Opens.

The US Opens held in California have been held at Pebble Beach (6), Riviera (1), Olympic Club (5) and Torrey Pines (1)

Interestingly, the USGA didn’t get around to playing a US Open in California until 1948.
