If you’ve watched The Golf Channel for any length of time, you’ve seen one of those ads for The Villages, a retirement community in Florida. You know—the one where you get a lifetime of free playing on any of their three “executive” courses (I sure they mean par three courses).
I’ve frankly never understood why anyone would retire to Florida. The summers are miserably hot and humid, there are hurricanes … and alligators.
The online edition of The Villages’ newspaper recently posted an article about how one resident was attacked by one of those prehistoric holdouts. It’s not exactly good publicity.
I imagine gators would be especially dangerous for seniors, who aren’t going to be quick and nimble enough to avoid them.
Gators are supposed to be smart. Do you think they know they’re trolling on a senior pond?
