The current, non-shootout format features 144 players with a 36-hole cut of the top 70 and ties. The 2019 edition also dispensed with the tournament’s previous tradition of including high school and college amateurs.

The Volunteers of America LPGA Texas Classic is played at The Old American Golf Club at The Colony, Texas. The Colony is a city in the suburbs of Dallas.

The Old American Golf Club plays at 35-36—71, 6,475 yards.
