In spite of the rumors, the Washtenaw Country Club is not closed. In fact, they ‘ve got some very good deals on memberships right now. Full disclosure: I’m a social member, which lets me pay golf a couple of times a year and use the pool and dining facilities. I like the people there very much; it’s not at all stuffy.
