While everyone—including your friendly neighborhood Golf Blogger—goes gaga over the prospects of a Tom Watson Open Championship victory, it’s probably worth recalling the US Open of 2003 at Olympia Field. There, with a dying Bruce Edwards on the bag, Watson momentarily turned back the clock and shot a 65 in the first round.
He’s extended that fine performance by one round.
If he wins this, it’s the biggest golf story of all time.
