WE ARE GOLF Returns to Capitol Hill for 6th Annual National Golf Day

A coalition of golf leaders will descend on Congress on April 16 for the sixth annual We Are Golf National Golf Day. The group will do their best to educate members of Congress on golf’s economic and charitable contributions.

We Are Golf also will present an exhibit that includes live golf lessons from Michael Breed.

As someone who once worked in Washington at a certain public policy-focused “foundation,” I understand exactly what they’re doing here. Congress critters live in a bubble and need to be reminded on a regular basis of what’s happening in the real world. To protect the interests of golf against potentially damaging legislation, the sports’s leaders need to ensure that they control their image.
