Famous Smoke online cigar store has created an interactive cigar and liquor pairings guide. Pick your poison, then answer a couple of questions and the site offers a cigar suggestion.
It is fun, but I wish that it was a bit more serious. After selecting a spirit from the choices of scotch, bourbon, rum, brandy and tequila, the site asks for a price range. Then it gets silly with the “What Are You Doing” question that offers choices such as “signing divorce papers” and “trimming your moustache.” Â Pick one of the six activity offerings, and the site offers a cigar pairing.
The information in the pairing, at least, is serious. Here’s the suggestion for a cigar to pair with a mid priced bourbon while you’re playing Texas Hold ‘Em
