A Redditor who goes by the handle Osmutiar has an interesting project in which he creates the “average” look of athletes in their sports. One of those projects is the average pro golfer.
In each case, Osmutiar aligns hundreds of photos of athletes in semi-transparent layers, combining them with an algorithm. The images are somewhat fuzzy because Osmutiar aligns the eyes and mouths and outside those areas, face shapes very significantly.
Still, in the image above, you can see the face of the average pro golfer, derived from five hundred individual photos. It’s about what I would expect. I think it looks a lot like Jordan Spieth with brown hair.
