I’ve been watching the wind at the Bob Hope with some amusement. It’s gusting like it’s a Michigan spring, and seems to be seriously bothering a good many of the pros. Getting under par has been a challenge.
What amuses me is that the wind seems to bother them more than it would bother me. These guys are so dialed in that if the wind blows them off by a couple of yards, it’s a serious thing. My game is such that if the wind altered my shot by twenty yards, I really wouldn’t notice. I spend a lot of my time recovering from wayward shots anyway.
I’ve often thought that the fairways should be ony ten yards wide. Then EVERYONE would have to play from the same rough that I do.
