Youth on Course Offering Individuals a Chance to Win “Bucket List” Golf Experiences

Youth On Course is  a non-profit whose mission is to provide young people with subsidized golf, college scholarships, paid internships and a caddie program. Headquartered in Pebble Beach, Youth on Course is a 501(c)3 organization that began as the charitable arm of the Northern California Golf Association. Since 2006, nearly 750,000 rounds have been played by Youth on Course participants and more than $1.4 million has been raised for college scholarships. Currently, Youth on Course serves Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin with the goal of delivering affordable golf in all 50 states by 2021.

To help fund these worthwhile programs, Youth on Course is conducting an online auction November 11 – 15. Bidders get the chance to a number of once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including golf at  five-time U.S. Open host Merion Golf Club, Old Tom Morris-designed Lahinch Golf Club, Winged Foot, Riviera and Sand Valley.

Riviera is on my personal bucket list, for what it’s worth.

“We think it’s an added value to bidders knowing that they are getting an opportunity to check a bucket-list item off their list, while also supporting the dreams of our members,” says Youth on Course Executive Director Adam Heieck. “Thanks to the generous support from bidders in 2017, we raised $115,000 to continue our mission of providing life changing opportunities for kids through golf. To build off that momentum, we’ve increased this year’s goal to $150,000.”
