Golf Is Everywhere: The Irishman Edition

Golf Is Everywhere: The Irishman Edition

The 2019 Martin Scorsese gangster film “The Irishman” has a scene in which Teamsters Union officers are playing golf with President Nixon and the Attorney General (whom I presume was John Mitchell).

I enjoyed the film but was annoyed with the segment around Hoffa’s disappearance from Detroit’s Red Fox Restaurant. In the film, the restaurant is in a rural wooded area with large hills in the background. The Red Fox is in Bloomfield Township, which also is home to Oakland Hills Country Club. It hasn’t been rural for a very long time and certainly isn’t’ hilly.

I am curious about which course was used for the golf scene, and which one it was supposed to represent. Given Nixon and the AG’s presence, I assume it takes place in the Washington, D.C. area. Congressional? Burning Tree?
