Before you can regularly tee it up for the Golf Season here in Michigan, there’s Golf Show Season. The West Michigan Golf Show was last weekend in Grand Rapids. This weekend, there’s a show in Toledo and March 2 – 4 is the big show in Novi.
The shows are mostly a conglomeration of booths featuring vendors, courses and travel bureaus. Most of the courses are within a few hours drive, but a few typically are from Southern getaways: the Mississippi Gulf Coast or Florida. Vendors at the shows mostly are pro shops dumping the previous year’s wares and small entrepreneurs. No one will mistake these for the PGA show in Florida, but they’re fun in their own right.
At the very least, they’ll help blow away the winter blues.
