Michigan Golf In Mid-November

Off the tenth fairway at Washtenaw Golf Club

Michigan Golf In Mid-November

We have had a nice run of weather here in Southeast Michigan this past week. With temperatures in the mid-fifties, I’ve had several very enjoyable — if abbreviated — rounds at Washtenaw Golf Club.

Teeing off at three, I can usually get at least twelve holes in before darkness falls. Holes ten, eleven and twelve at Washtenaw form a convenient loop that returns to the front of the club before thirteen takes players on a loop that extends to the back of the course. Yesterday, I finished sixteen holes by jumping from the par three fourteenth to the seventeenth and then playing in.

At that point, the only other people on the course was the group finishing up on the seventeenth green.

As I’ve said numerous times before, twilight is pretty much my favorite time to play golf. There is just something so peaceful and beautiful about that time of day.

Some more twilight round photos follow:

  1. I saw your car in the Washtenaw parking lot as we were leaving. Golf Blogger decal and WV one.

Weather was great. Greens were slick. And my game was erratic.
