Tickets For 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic On Sale Dec. 9 – 22

Last summer’s inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic was the hottest ticket in town, with sellout crowds and lots of would-be fans on the outside looking in. I know that several friends of mine were unable to secure weekend tickets because they waited too long.

So … to avoid missing Detroit’s own PGA Tour event you might want to take advantage of special holiday pre-sale opportunities December 9 – 22 at the tournament’s website.

The 2020 edition of the Rocket Mortgage Classic will be May 25 – 31, with competitive rounds played May 28 – 31. The earlier date should mean cooler, and more comfortable weather.

DETROIT (November 25, 2019) – After a wildly successful debut last summer, where fans came out in droves to witness the PGA TOUR’s first tournament ever held within the city of Detroit, the Rocket Mortgage Classic today announced a special holiday pre-sale opportunity for tickets to the 2020 tournament.

From December 9-22, fans will have access to a limited-time ticket pre-sale in advance of the holiday season. Fans can lock-in their spot at Detroit’s can’t-miss sporting event by purchasing tickets at RocketMortgageClassic.com. Poised for another sellout in 2020, the Rocket Mortgage Classic is offering the ticket pre-sale as a way for fans to treat that special golf fan on their holiday shopping list to an unforgettable experience seeing the PGA TOUR’s best golfers up close and in person.

Rocket Mortgage Classic events begin May 25, 2020, and the tournament runs May 28 through 31 at the historic Detroit Golf Club. A Memorial Day start will help kick off summer in style for golf fans and those who simply love the excitement of a major event.

“It was important for us to offer this holiday pre-sale so Detroiters, and those across the country, can pick up some of the hottest tickets in Detroit just in time for the holiday season,” said Jason Langwell, the tournament’s Executive Director. “With our tournament dates moving up a month, and our first day open to the public set for Memorial Day, we know the demand for tickets will top the incredible excitement we saw for the tournament’s first year.”

New this year, the Rocket Mortgage Classic will open its doors to ticketed fans on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. For an advance purchase price of just $15, fans can purchase a grounds pass that allows them to watch two days of practice rounds and enjoy special events on both Monday and Tuesday, May 25 and 26. Monday will feature a Junior Golf Clinic on the driving range, and Tuesday will bring the return of the popular AREA 313 Celebrity Challenge. The challenge pairs PGA TOUR pros, athletes from other sports and celebrities in a fun, three-hole golf competition for charity on holes 14, 15 and 16 at Detroit Golf Club, also known as AREA 313.

Wednesday’s Delta Dental Pro-Am tickets are also $15. Competition-round grounds passes are available for $50 for Thursday, $55 for Friday and $60 each for Saturday and Sunday. Those looking for the flexibility of being able to attend on any day of their choosing can purchase a “Good Any One Day” pass for $70 that allows them grounds access on one day throughout the week.

Also available during the exclusive pre-sale are weekly grounds passes – good for every day Monday-Sunday – for $180. Those looking for an upgraded experience can buy into the LendingTree Lounge for $80 for Thursday, $85 for Friday and $90 per day for Saturday and Sunday. The shared hospitality space will be expanded significantly and relocated for 2020. It will now offer fantastic elevated views of the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th holes as players come down the stretch on the back nine.

Two-packs of tickets to the exclusive ULTRA Club overlooking the green at the exciting par-3 15th hole are available for $1,925. For fans seeking a festive, world-class tournament experience to entertain friends, family or key business associates – the ULTRA Club is the place to be during the Rocket Mortgage Classic. This VIP package includes two tickets to the shared hospitality venue good for all four rounds of tournament play (Thursday, May 28-Sunday, May 31), grounds access throughout the course and one VIP parking pass. This private, climate-controlled club featuring private restroom facilities, is both in a prime location behind the 15th green and offers great views of players on the par-5 14th hole and the tee shot on the par-4 16th hole. An upgraded menu including bar service will be available for individual purchase. This unique opportunity is expected to sell out fast.

The Rocket Mortgage Classic will once again offer FREE grounds admission for youth 15 and under with a ticketed adult (which allows up to four youth per ticketed adult). Complimentary grounds tickets are also available to all active duty and retired military members (limit two tickets per order), and veterans can receive grounds passes at 50 percent off the regular rate. Youth tickets do not need to be reserved in advance and can be picked up at the box office. Military tickets will be available for reservation starting in late January.
