TRUE All Day Chino Review

TRUE All Day Chino
Grade: A
Teacher’s Comments: A pair of pants I can take from the classroom to the course without missing a beat.

In recent months, TRUE Linkswear — a company primarily known for walking-focused golf shoes — has branched out into a full apparel line.

Among their offerings is the “All Day Chino Pant.”

TRUE’s All Day Chino is a classic style, with a slim, more “modern” fit. As a fifty something, I am always wary of “slim” fits, but the fabric stretches enough that it doesn’t feel restrictive.

Additions to the basic chino style are a cellphone/passport pocket, a back zipper pocket, an elastic key loop and some reflective material on the back cuffs.

I’m not really sure what that’s about. Perhaps they were thinking about people getting in some exercise steps around the neighborhood after work.

True’s fabric is lightweight and said to be breathable. Since I got the pants in late fall, I haven’t had a chance to test that proposition on my rounds in Michigan, but from the weight and feel, I am certain it would be good on warmer days. It is definitely a “performance”

The fabric also is said to be water resistant. Again, it seems to me as though that likely is true.

The best thing about these chinos is that I can wear them to work in my classroom, and then head straight to Washtenaw Golf Club as soon as the school day is over. They look good and play well.

Recommended.
