Hawk and Squirrel Standoff

I spied this hawk and squirrel standoff yesterday at Washtenaw Golf Club (course link). The hawk clearly was trying to talk the squirrel down and the rodent was having none of it.

This is the sort of thing you miss if y ou’re whizzing about in a power cart.

Unfortunately, as I went to take the photo, I discovered my camera’s battery had run dry. I had to resort to my phone to capture the scene, thus the poor imagery.

I need a better phone.
