“At the age of 5, our beautiful son Chad lost his fight to DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), a pediatric brain tumor with a zero percent survival rate,” said Chad’s father Jason. “We created the ChadTough Foundation in his honor, to increase awareness and funding for pediatric brain tumors, which are the leading cause of cancer related death in children. We are grateful to the LPGA and Volvik for joining us in our mission and supporting our efforts to create change.”
Chad was also the grandson of College Football Hall of Fame U-M football coach Lloyd Carr and Hall of Fame Wolverine safety Tom Curtis. To learn more about The ChadTough Foundation go to www.chadtough.org.
“Volvik, Miles of Golf, Rosedale Products, Underground Printing, Tee Bagz and Huron Valley Financial all joined in to help make this ‘Orange Out for ChadTough’ promotion possible,” said Keith Karbo, LPGA Volvik Tournament Director. “Without this help, we would have been hard pressed to pull this off.”
The LPGA Volvik Championship Tournament Week starts on Monday, May 23 and will end Sunday, May 29. And to purchase your tickets for the ‘Orange Out for ChadTough’ on Saturday, May 28, go to www.volviklpga.com/orange-out-for-chadtough/.
