3: Inn at Houndslake – Aiken, South Carolina

If you want to avoid the craziness of Augusta during the Masters, but still want a convenient accommodation option, then the Inn at Houndslake in South Carolina, which is only 35 minutes away by car. Aiken has numerous hotels, but the Inn at Houndslake is beautifully luxurious and located at a country club with a golf course. This upscale Inn has just 34 rooms, so it is important to book this one early if this is your hotel of choice.

2: Aloft Columbia Downtown – Columbia, South Carolina

Columbia, South Carolina is another city outside of Augusta that attracts plenty of Masters fans. This hotel is a one hour drive from the golfing action, which means that you can expect more for your money here. This is home to luxury lofts, has an excellent downtown location and is right near some of the city’s best cultural attractions.

This is another hotel in Columbia, South Carolina. It has a downtown location and boasts an on-site lounge and restaurant. Aside from its reasonably convenient location to the tournament, it also offers a heated indoor pool and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. If you just want to chill in your room, then there is free WiFi to sit back and surf the net. 

Its location also means that when you aren’t watching the golf, you can explore Columbia’s biggest attractions, such as the State Capital, just a short walk away from your hotel.
