Bushnell, best known for its laser rangefinders has developed a new product category: the Golf GPS-Speaker.

Today’s generations seem unable to play function without carrying around their own personal soundtrack. The students in my classes pretty much have their Airpods embedded in their skulls.

So Bushnell has taken the obsession with constant music (or whatever it is they’re listening to) and morphed it with a golf GPS rangefinder.

With the Wingman, players pair the device with their phones and the Busnell Golf App. A remote button then allows the player to get audible GPS distance to the front, center and back via the speaker.

Golfers are always looking for a competitive edge, while still trying to have fun. We are excited to introduce a product that will allow them to enjoy themselves on the course, while providing them with the functions of a distance measuring device,” said William Flood, Bushnell Golf Product Manager. “With its ability to play music and provide the GPS data golfers rely on, the Wingman GPS Speaker is unlike any other product in the industry, and we are thrilled to add it to the Bushnell Golf family.”

The Wingman GPS Speaker can be secured to any golf cart without the need for an aftermarket accessory.

There does not, however, seem to be any way to attach the speaker to a bag via a strap. Players who carry or push a cart seem to be left out in the cold.

Wingman GPS Speaker Features:

  • Audible GPS distances and music through mobile applications
  • Premium audio quality
  • Front center and back distances – with customizable settings for your game play
  • Integrated BITE magnetic cart mount
  • Auto hole advance
  • 10+ hour battery life
  • Charge other devices from speaker

The Bushnell Golf Wingman GPS Speaker will be available at Bushnell retailers nationwide beginning in April.  Retail price for the Wingman GPS Speaker is $149.99.
