Garmin is taking the golf gps watch to new heights with its new Approach S6.
The watch has a full color screen with hole-by-hole details for 30,000 courses, with a lifetime of free updates.
The watch has a number of special screens and functions.
It offers images of the hole, layup distances and has a special screen called the PinPointer (below) that gives you the distance and direction to the hole.
The Greenview shows the shape and layout of the green.
It’s touchscreen so you can move the pin to its current location as needed.
And, as you might expect from a golf watch, you can use it to keep track of scores and stats like strokes, putts per round, GIR, and fairways hit. You can actually print the scorecard later.
Not enough for you?
The watch also keeps track of your swing tempo, helping you to achieve what some believe to be the ideal 3:1 ratio. A swing strength sensor lets you compare the feel of your swing on the course with, say, your driving range swing.
To keep track of miles walked and time on course, the Garmin S6 has an odometer and round timer.
And finally, because this is a Smart Watch, it lets you receive iPhone notifications right on the watch.
