Great Lakes Golf Company recently sent a set of golf club headcovers for review. They are good looking and fit well.

A relatively new entry in the golf gear world, Great Lakes Golf Company is based in Frankenmuth, Michigan. In addition to headcovers, they offer branded balls, gloves, golf bags, tees and towels.

The headcovers come in black and white. Offerings include headcovers for driver, putter, hybrid and woods.

Driver wood and iron headcovers have a bit of a retro vibe, with wide racing stripes. A bold GLGC logo is on the top surfaces. I like the look.

All of the covers fit my clubs snugly but are not difficult to put on or take off. The putter cover has a magnetic closure where the magnet seems firmly in place. (I’ve had trouble with putter covers in the past whose magnets migrated between the layers, making them useless).

The exterior material used in the covers is polyvinyl chloride leather; the interior is a nice plush. Stitching is nice and tight. I’ve had the covers in play for a couple of months now, and they show no sign of deterioration.

Great Lakes Golf Company in general has some solid products, from balls to head covers to towels. You can read reviews of their gloves, balls and carry bag at the links.
