One of my favorite courses, the Indian River Golf Club, is hosting the Michigan Senior Women’s Championship Aug. 27 – 28. Between 80 to 100 of the top senior (50+) women golfers will challenge defending Champion Barb Schmid of Grand Rapids.
The original nine of Indian River was designed by architect Wilfrid Reid in 1923. Reid is the the same architect who did Indianwood GC in Orion Lake, MI and also did the original golf course design at Olympic in San Francisco.
