Sports Illustrated’s Chris Lewis argues that the PGA Championship is the best of the majors.
His rationale: the course setup usually is more fair (the Masters favors the longest hitters, the US Open is … well … the US Open; and the Open Championship is quirky); and, the PGA has had more exciting finishes in recent years.
He has a word of caution, though. If the early returns on Baltusrol hold up, the PGA could become just another overgrown course set up exclusively for power hitters.
