Kevin Na got his first victory this past weekend at the “Justin Timberlake”, and its a good thing that he won by more than a single stroke. Otherwise, that whiff in the video above might be a major bone of contention.
Na is fast becoming known for all kinds of things most of us would rather forget, such as interminably slow play and that 16 he carded at the Valero Texas Open (see the video below). Now, the whiff. Strangely, he didn’t get assessed a stroke on this one.
We do that, too. Whenever a player whiffs on the tee, everyone says “practice swing” and he gets another try. But I don’t think that’s what’s happened here. I don’t care what Na or the Tour Officials say. That was a whiff.
