This is pretty neat to watch, even if it did take them a reported 28 tries to complete the feat.
It reminds me of a story I read about John Montague, the flamboyant golf hustler from the 1930s. Montague would bet that he could sink ridiculously long putts, and then proceed to do so with a garden implement. The trick was that, before the round, he would go to the green and use a bamboo pole or tool handle to press a barely-noticeable groove into the green. The putt then would follow the groove like a train on a track.
That’s what these guys should have done. It would have saved 27 takes.
