New Officers At Michigan PGAMICHIGAN SECTION PGA ELECTS NEW OFFICERS

East Lansing, MI – The Michigan Section PGA elected new officers for a two year term at the Association’s Annual Meeting attended by over 280 Michigan PGA Members. The meeting was held October 23, 2017 at Eagle Eye Golf Club in East Lansing, Michigan. Kevin McKinley, of Treetops Resort & Spa in Gaylord, Michigan, takes over as the Association’s President.

McKinley, a member of The PGA of America since 2002, has been the Director of Golf at Treetops since 2004 and will succeed Ron Osborne, of Binder Park Golf Club. Osborne will begin his term as Honorary President.

Bob Bales, of The Lynx Golf Club in Otsego, Michigan, was elected Vice President. Bales, a member of The PGA of America since 1995, has been the Head Golf Professional at The Lynx since March 2017 and will succeed Kevin McKinley.

John Pershern, of Lochmoor Club in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan, has been elected Secretary. Pershern, a member of The PGA of America since 1994, has been the Head Golf Professional at Lochmoor since 2011 and will succeed Bob Bales.

“The Association is fortunate to be able to utilize Kevin, Bob and John’s expertise going forward. This group of officers is dedicated to working with the Board of Directors to serve the needs of the entire membership,” said Kevin Helm, Michigan PGA Executive Director.

The Michigan PGA and its 800 members and apprentices serve the Michigan golf community by promoting the game of golf and overall vitality of the game.
