In the bag this past week for Martin Kaymer on the way to his remarkable victory at the 2014 US Open were a set of TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Irons.

The Tour Preferred MC Irons start with a “player’s” shape and adds a muscle cavity to boost moment of inertia for stability. The three through seven irons also incorporate the Speed Pocket that’s featured in much of TaylorMade’s lineup this season. The long irons are cast, while the short irons are forged.

I keep looking at the TaylorMade MCs and thinking that I could play these.
