Women’s Golf Day Early Bird Enrollment Deadline Feb. 28
Womens’ Golf Day is a worthy cause. Launched in 2016 to encourage, empower, engage and support women and girls in the sport, it has grown from just a few course to more than a thousand in 80 countries.
Golf needs more women in the sport, if for nothing else than its long-term survival. Women are 50% of the population, but only about 20% of the players. Increasing the participation of women in golf is one of those “rising tides that lift all boats.”
If you are the owner or operator of a golf facility, check out their press release below for information on how you can help grow the game.
WOMEN’S GOLF DAY ON-LINE ENROLLMENT AVAILABLE FOR ALL VENUES
DEADLINE APPROACHES FOR EARLY BIRD FACILITIES REGISTRATION
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2022) –Golf facilities and clubs interested in hosting a Women’s Golf Day (WGD) on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, should enroll before February 28 to receive early bird pricing.
With the increase in women playing or interested in learning more about golf, there’s no better time for venues to join the global community hosting thousands of women at locations in more than 80 countries worldwide. Importantly, the Women’s Golf Day (WGD) movement is more than just a one-day event— it’s an ongoing celebration of girls and women playing golf and learning the skills that last a lifetime, making it a vital opportunity for facilities to engage and nurture new audiences.
Locations—private or public golf courses, driving ranges, and indoor facilities—may take advantage of a discount on the Premier Level, available for $159 (regular price is $350), before the end of February. Included in the Premier Level is a suite of benefits that includes social media and website promotion on Women’s Golf Day channels, amplification of facility-hosted events, inclusion in and access to Women’s Golf Day database, and more.
“We are an athletic club but our goal in hosting a Women’s Golf Day event was to target our younger athletic members from team sports like field hockey, soccer, basketball, squash and bring them to golf,” said The Olympic Club’s Will Hutton. “The social elements of Women’s Golf Day were attractive to our younger members and making it an a al carte event with flexible arrival time over two hours helped contribute to its success.”
Other facilities categories include Official Location ($99) and Featured Location ($159). To learn more and to register your location, visit https://womensgolfday.com/register/.
Other initiatives that are part of WGD include:
WGD Palooza on May 31, a one-of-a-kind online celebration connecting golfers around the world to golf industry movers and shakers who are creating opportunities for more people to engage with the sport. WGD Palooza provides PGA Professionals an opportunity to earn 1 MSR credit. Additional registration details are available at https://womensgolfday.com/wgdpalooza/.
Special merchandise sporting the WGD logo or colors is available from WGD Official Partners, either online at https://womensgolfday.com/wgd-store/ or at PGA TOUR Superstore.
