I was really pulling for Ernie Els on Thursday, hoping that can finish high enough to get that Masters’ invitation. Unfortunately, a late round shot into the water cost him two shots. He’s still in it though.
There are a lot of big names tied for fourth or better: Tiger Woods, Nick Watney, Sergio Garcia, KJ Choi, Justin Rose, and Ryan Moore and Anthony Kim who both had aces. Tiger had a three putt at one point for par. Not good. I find it fascinating that for all the talk about his knees and back, its his putter right now that’s killing him. Highlights below.
