While releasing the 2013 PGA Tour Schedule, the Tour also has made concrete some its structural changes:
The 2013 PGA TOUR Season officially ends in late September with the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola
The 2013-2014 PGA TOUR Season officially begins three weeks later with the first Fall Tournament
The Fall Tournaments begin awarding full FedExCup points in 2013-2014, so earnings no longer will be a qualifying factor for exempt status
The Web.com Tour becomes the pathway for the PGA TOUR’s 50 new membership cards
The Web.com Tour Regular Season will award 25 PGA TOUR cards based on the final money list
The Web.com Tour will end with four Finals events, which will determine the remaining 25 cards, based on cumulative earnings in those events
The Web.com Tour Finals will coincide with FedExCup Playoffs, with last event ending the week after the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola
The field makeup for the Web.com Finals will include the top 75 from the Web.com Tour money list, PGA TOUR players who are 126-200 on the FedExCup points list, and non-members who would have earned enough FedExCup points from their performance on TOUR to place them 126-200 on the official FedExCup points list
The 50 players who earn their membership will be next in priority for PGA TOUR tournament fields following the top 125 from the previous season’s FedExCup Points List and other exempt eligibility categories
The Qualifying Tournament will now be solely an avenue to the Web.com Tour
